Modular Rifle Chassis System
There is no definitive term used by the shooting industry for these bolt action rifle chassis. In my personal opinion Rifle Chassis System best describes these Aftermarket Rifle Stocks. Here a Modular Rifle I added the term “Modular” as most of these Rifle Chassis are modular in construction and often customizable in ways not possible with Traditional Rifle Stocks. Traditional stocks whether sniper, tactical or competitive are often adjustable to fit a shooter. The Modular Rifle Chassis System would be better explained as “Adaptable”. The chassis are not only adjustable like their traditional counterparts. The Rifle Chassis Systems are adaptable or configurable to the shooter and the task. Typically there are many buttstock options such as proprietary adjustable and and folding to the ability to accept AR-15 stocks. Some chassis offer different forearms, forearm side panels, pistol grips and side panels.

Magpul Pro 700L Remington 700 Long Action Chassis
Magpul has followed up their Pro 700 Chassis Remington 700 Short Action Chassis with the new Pro 700L series. The Pro 700L is the long action version of the chassis for popular calibers such as .300 Winchester Magnum, 30-06 Springfield, 7mm Remington Magnum etc. The chassis are feature rich and available in 3 colors. They are priced between $900-$1000 which is higher than I would expect given how competitive the field is. I plan on getting one and seeing how it compares to my MDT’s.

MDT LSS-22 22LR RIFLE CHASSIS SYSTEM
The Modular Driven Technologies LSS-22 Chassis System for .22LR caliber rifles is lightweight and compact, and adopts the same footprint as the centerfire MDT LSS Chassis. You will notice a significant improvement in accuracy due to the V-shaped bedding and free floated fore-end, which allows for barrel contours up to 1″ in diameter.
MAGPUL PRO 700 REMINGTON 700 RIFLE CHASSIS SYSTEM
When Magpul announced the Remington 700 Hunter Stock I remember thinking to myself that it wouldn’t be long until we see a precision rifle chassis from them. I also remember thinking that a well designed priced right precision rifle chassis from Magpul could dominate the low to mid range rifle chassis market. Well I’m here to report the good news that Magpul has officially announced the “Magpul Pro 700” rifle chassis. Unfortunately though I’m more than a little surprised by the $1000 MSRP. That is three times the cost of the hunter stock and in my opinion about 1/3 higher than it should be because at that price shooters are at the price of a complete Savage Stealth or Ruger Precision Rifle. Those are great tack driver chassis based rifles for the cost of the Magpul Pro 700 chassis. Insult to injury the lack of an ARCA plate is a deal breaker for precision rifle crowd. Now with that said I’m a big believer in actually trying hardware first hand instead of relying on critical negative reviews of a product very few have seen or touched. Additionally Magpul still has time to address any perceived shortcomings pointed out by the community.

This Remington Defense RACS M40A6 USMC Chassis 86485 features a sturdy platform for precision shooting, 20 MOA full length picatinny rail, captive action screws, 3 sections of picatinny rail section plus one Harris bipod adapter and a folding RACS stock. The operator friendly RACS also features a free-float tubular design, fully featured front handguard, the ability to attach auxiliary rail sections to any of the seven facets of the octagonal handguard tube. The pistol grip is rubber with a good grip surface and excellent ergonomics. The pistol grip is interchangeable with standard AR grips if you would prefer something else.
J.Allen JAE 700 Rifle Chassis System
The precision rifle world is awash in slick and high quality gear, but no chassis is more beautifully made or offers the features of the J. Allen Enterprises JAE-700 rifle chassis system. Accurate Mag Chassis System | Sport-Tact Chassis
The Accurate Mag Chassis Systems have been designed and produced with high precision CAD/CAM programs and CNC machinery to high quality Military standards. All chassis systems are made out 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminum for lightness with some high stress or high wear parts made out of steel. All aluminum parts are given a military grade Hard-anodize finish, the same process that is done to M4 upper and lower receivers. And, all steel parts either have a black oxide or a cerakote finish.
