Mossberg MVP® Series  AR Magazine Fed Bolt Action Rifle

The Mossberg® Varmint and Predator Rifle better known as the Mossberg MVP® started its life as a hunting rifle and proved itself time and again in the field. Accurate, dependable and always ready for more, the MVP, which accepts commonly available AR-style magazines, became an instant hit with a wide audience of hunters and shooting enthusiasts alike.

Today, the hugely popular platform offers a gun for all seasons and all shooting disciplines.

Huber Concepts 2 Stage Trigger

Huber Concepts 2 Stage Trigger | 2 Stage Remington 700 Trigger

 Huber Concepts 2 Stage Trigger

The Huber Concepts 2 Stage Trigger is somewhat of an interesting piece of hardware. When I say interesting I mean it’s very expensive. One of the most expensive triggers for bolt action rifles I have seen to date. The reviews seem to backup the hefty price tag. More interesting though is the Huber Concepts product page. It seems almost written like an infomercial focused on the Remington trigger lawsuit. Interesting approach.

I plan on testing, evaluating and reviewing a Huber Concepts Trigger very soon.

Huber Concepts Patented Trigger Technology | Superior Trigger Designed Shooters

U.S. Patents utilizing anti friction ball bearings and theory of physics/time and tactile physiology. Unlike other lever style rifle triggers that stack time, Huber Concepts 2 Stage Trigger uses higher order mathematics and considering the moments just prior to breaking the shot.

Huber Concepts 2 Stage Triggers are a two plate hanger cartridge design embodying the trigger elements, sear, and internal redundant safety. Inspired for two stage as low as a 1 ½ pounds, but capable of single stage as low as a ½ pound. Effect use of trigger amounts to three to four fold improvement to shot accuracy and with group size reduction by 50% from 100 yards to out beyond 2000 yards. Designed to improve the shooters proficiency and discipline.

Exceeds Tradoc (U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command), Form & Function durable for 100,000 shots, last shot as clean & smooth as the first. Remington OEM trigger-mounted lower bolt stop lever option available. Safeties available: RH, LH, Trigger-guard (Bottom). Triggers are shipped drop-in ready, to your selected stage, break weight, safety.

Huber Concepts 2 Stage Trigger Premium Aftermarket Remington 700 Trigger

Because of all of the problems are you interested in replacing your recalled Remington 700 Rifle trigger?  Huber Concepts puts the shooter closer to the exact break moment of the trigger pull, giving you complete and total certainty and trigger control. Instead of spending money on a trigger job, trigger adjustment, x mark pro, Jewel, Rifle Basix, or  Timney trigger try a Huber Concepts and feel the difference.

Remington 700 Trigger Recall Have You Concerned?

Huber Concepts 2 Stage Triggers uses a double redundant safety in its trigger. Rest assured that the trigger is safe and will give you the best shooting experience possible for your Remington 700 or variant action rifle.

Remington M2010 Barreled Action Unboxing

Remington M2010 Barreled Action Unboxing

Fresh off the UPS truck and out the door of my local gunshop, my Remington M2010 barreled action is home where it belongs. This this Remington Barreled Action is the heart of the United States Army M2010 Sniper Rifle, formerly known as the Remington XM2010.

Remington M2010 Barreled Action Unboxing, Product Label Picture

Remington M2010 Barreled Action Product Label

The Remington M2010 Barreled Action features a .300 Winchester Magnum chambered, 22 inch fluted, 1:10 twist, 5R barrel threaded 5/8-25 for an Advanced Armament Corp flash hider. The included trigger is the battlefield proven Remington M24 trigger.

My plan for this M2010 is to mate it up with a Cadex Defence modular chassis system to closely emulate the XM2010 Sniper Rifle. There will be differences though as my end use is that of a civilian and not a US Army sniper.

M2010 Sniper System,Systematically Eliminating All Variables

The M24 is based on the legendary Model 700™ and 40-X™ rifles. Its unmatched accuracy and reliability have made it the standard in long-range tactical situations. Over 15,000 sold since 1988. The Remington Sniper Weapon Systems make outfitting your operation efficient and simple.

From the basic M24 Sniper System – the standard for the U.S. Army since 1988 – to the advanced M2010 configuration, we include the world-famous rifle and all the premium, service-proven components you need. Remington® was awarded the U.S. M2010 Army Enhanced Sniper Rifle (ESR) contract in September 2010 to reconfigure up to 3,600 M24 Sniper Weapon Systems after a full and open competition.

Designed as an upgrade to the venerable M24 SWS, the M2010 comes configured with the Remington® Arms Chassis System (RACS). The M2010 gives the sniper greater capability, lethality and flexibility offered by the 300 Winchester Magnum round, a detachable box magazine, a Leupold® variable powered optic, full rail systems for mounting of ancillary equipment and signature reduction in the form of an AAC TiTAN QD suppressor.

KRG Whiskey 3 Chassis System

The Generation 5 KRG Whiskey 3 Chassis (W3C) is one of the premier chassis available for your bolt action precision rifle. The W3C combines precise aluminum bedding with tool-less adjustments, durability, and excellent ergonomics. Right out of the box it allows the use of Accuracy International Chassis System (AICS) style magazines in your rifle without any special bottom metal.

Numerous types of accessories can be added to the many attachment points, including hand-stops, sling mounts, rails, bipods, monopods, and more. Modular grip panels allow the shooter to tailor the fit of the stock to his/her hand which, combined with the other adjustments, yield a stock set up exactly as it needs to be for that particular shooter.

The KRG Whiskey 3 Chassis Gen 5 is available in fixed and folding stock versions for the following rifles:

  • Tikka T3 (non-magnum length calibers).
  • Remington 700 short and long action.
  • Badger M2008/13 short action (uses AICS or AI AW magazines).
  • Badger M2008 long action (AICS CIP length magazines).

The KRG Whiskey 3 Chassis cannot, unfortunately, be made to fit these rifles:

  • Tikka T3 in long action calibers (there is currently no magazine which will work as the AICS magnum magazines will not work with the T3).
  • Tikka 595/695.
  • Sako 75/85.
  • Surgeon XL action.
  • Howa 1500.
  • AI AE.

Push-pull extraction system reduces wear on the extractor and ensures longer life of the critical part. Free-floating 14.5-inch handguard which has a raised receiver extension that clamps onto the flattop rail for a continuous optics mounting platform. Handguard sports a small forward rail for shooters who prefer iron sights and features the latest M-Lok modular accessory mounting system by Magpul. Magpul pistol grip and Luth-AR adjustable target buttstock. Receivers and bolt carrier group have slick NP3 nickel plating. To make the rifle compatible with laws in all 50 states the upper uses a captured front takedown pin. Pin lets the upper rotate from the lower for maintenance while preventing taking the upper off without tools.
