Mossberg MVP® Series AR Magazine Fed Bolt Action Rifle
The Mossberg® Varmint and Predator Rifle better known as the Mossberg MVP® started its life as a hunting rifle and proved itself time and again in the field. Accurate, dependable and always ready for more, the MVP, which accepts commonly available AR-style magazines, became an instant hit with a wide audience of hunters and shooting enthusiasts alike.
Today, the hugely popular platform offers a gun for all seasons and all shooting disciplines.
Coupling the capacity and flexibility of America’s most popular magazines with the accuracy and confidence that only a bolt-action rifle can deliver the MVP has become a near-perfect choice for every day at home, on the range or in the field.

The ESS Chassis retains the MDT proven V-block bedding system to form a solid and reliable base for the rifle action. The magazine well has been refined for easy insertion of the magazine, while reducing rattle and movement. The tab style magazine release has been replaced with a semi-flush ambidextrous paddle that can easily be activated by a weak or strong hand. The recoil lug mortise has been designed to accommodate most aftermarket recoil lugs and the trigger area will accommodate most aftermarket triggers.

A serrated barricade stop has been added to the front of the magazine well and a polymer fore-end grip at the balance point adds comfort. The wide fore-grip area combined with the octagonal profiled for-end tube offers flexible options when shooting over bags or improvised rests. Thumb shelves have been added to both side of the chassis for shooters who prefer an open grip.
MDT ESS Chassis System Grip
The most significant change is the incorporation of the ESS specific butt-stock interface, rather than the traditional AR pattern interface. This allows us to place the pistol grip in optimum relation to the trigger, while still allowing the shooter to choose from the wide variety of AR pattern pistol grips which suit their preference.
MDT ESS Chassis Stock – The MDT ESS chassis comes with it’s own butt-stock, similar to our Skeleton Rifle Stock. It is fully adjustable including lateral adjustment for the butt-pad and the cheek rest. Cheek rest height and butt-pad length-of-pull are adjustable by thumb wheels.

MDT ESS Chassis Stock Cheek Riser
A butt-stock with an integrated folder will be introduced soon as well as an M4 carbine buffer tube adapter by Fall 2017.
MDT ESS Fore-End – Fore-Ends are offered in 3 different lengths, 12″, 15″ and 18″, can be ordered with a full rail, partial rail, or no rail with cut-outs to allow low scope mounting. Each fore-end comes with M-Lok slots and QD flush cup mounts.
Action specific scope mounting rails which co-index with the fore-end rail are available as an accessory.
MDT ESS Chassis Mounting And Compatible Accessories
The MDT ESS chassis is designed with it’s own butt-stock for perfect ergonomics and is designed to use AR15 style pistol grips (purchased separately), and allows for customization with a wide variety of accessories. The Fore-End comes in 3 different lengths, and can be ordered with a full rail, partial rail or no rail.

2015 US Army International Sniper Competition
Drake Savage Stalker 308 Long Range Tactical Sniper System at the 2015 US Army International Sniper Competition
Ft Benning, GA, 2015 US Army International Sniper Competition
SPECIAL CONGRATULATIONS TO THE US ARMY NATIONAL GUARD WARRIOR TRAINING CENTER SNIPER TEAM AS THEY HELD THEIR OWN AGAINST THE SOF TEAMS with the SAVAGE STALKER RIFLE SYSTEM
DRAKE ASSOCIATES and SAVAGE ARMS had the opportunity to provide one of the participating teams at the 2015 US Army International Sniper Competition with a new long range sniper platform – the SAVAGE STALKER 308, Drake MK12 5.56 SASS and related support equipment in cooperation with our industry partners MDT / Modular Driven Technologies, The MAKO Group/ Fab Defense.
During the week of October 19-23, 2015, Sniper Teams from across the world traveled to Fort Benning to compete in the Annual International Sniper Competition. The goal of this competition was to identify the best sniper team from a wide range of agencies and organizations that included the U.S. Military, International Militaries, and Local, State and Federal Law Enforcement.
Many teams were invited to compete in a gauntlet of rigorous physical, mental and endurance events that test the range of sniper skills that include, but are not limited to, long range marksmanship, observation, reconnaissance and reporting abilities, and abilities to move with stealth and concealment. After competing in the events the best teams were selected.
DRAKE ASSOCIATES and SAVAGE ARMS were privileged to be able to supply the SAVAGE STALKER 308 long range tactical sniper system, Drake MK12 5.56 SASS to the US Army National Guard Warrior Training Center Sniper team.
At the 2015 US Army International Sniper Competition awards ceremony at the end of the competition is was announced that the US Army NG WTC, using the Savage Stalker rifle system achieved the following outstanding and significant results:
- Top National Guard Team
- 2nd Place for NON-Special Operations/SOF team- Conventional Units
8th Place Overall Ranking for competition (The majority of the competition was from Special Operations Forces / SOF Units)
SAVAGE STALKER Rifles were very well received in the community! DRAKE ASSOCIATES had previously introduced the SAVAGE STALKER long range tactical rifles to other SOF units in recent deployments and at the USASOC Sniper Competition in March 2015 at Ft Bragg. Once again the SAVAGE STALKER Rifles were noticed and admired by the Special Operations Forces / SOF.
The SAVAGE STALKER long range tactical sniper rifles were proven to be lighter, more ergonomically designed and more accurate than many of the other systems that were used in the competition. This win by the US Army NG WTC was the result of intensive training and was a tribute to their dedication and “old school” work ethic. They competed against the best, most modern and well equipped Spec Ops teams and Won!
This is a big win for the US Army NG WTC, SAVAGE ARMS, DRAKE ASSOCIATES, MDT / Modular Driven Technologies, The MAKO Group/Fab Defense.

Modular Driven Technologies MDT HS3 Remington Model 700 Chassis System
Fresh of the completion of our wonderfully successful first site project the MDT TAC21 Suppressed Modular Rifle we are not wasting any time getting right back in to yet another product from Modular Driven Technologies. This time we ordered the MDT HS3 Remington 700 Chassis to replace the Bell&Carlson stock on my Remington 700 Heavy Barrel Varmint 22-250.
Brownells has a great video here on the MDT HS3 Remington 700 Chassis System.
